Subject: KFLOP GPIO 5V Tolerant
all the 5v tolerant ports from the kflop are in the connector JP7 but I have a kstep using this connector
as far as I know the ports can be multiplexed to use encoders, can I do that and use these ports? I just want to use one port as a 5 volts output and turn it on and off

Please be more specific what you are trying to do.

JP5 has 5V Tolerant inputs - although we don't recommend driving them above 3.8V.

All the IO are basically 3.3V LVTTL signals.  3.3V LVTTL signals have the same voltage output levels as 5V TTL signals (a high must be > 2.4V).

The outputs without pull down resistors can usually operate in open collector mode and sink to GND Optos connected to 5V.

I want to activate a Solid State Relay with 5 volts
tried with 3.3 but it didn't work, using a power supply I realize that it wasn't enough
but with 5 volts it works well

currently I'm using the JP4 in the kflop
so I can use IO24-IO25 to sink to GND without damage the port?

Yes.  You should be able to connect the SSR to +5V and KFLOP will sink to near 0V so the SSR should see 5V.  When High the SSR should see <2V and turn off.
